01/25/05 (late, isn't it?)
It's kinda sad how there was soo much that went on between the last news update and this one, and yet I didn't do anything in this section. Shame... shame. Oh well, get over it. :b
Anyways, several new developments for you guys to take note of. One, Jitka's project is now unveiled. It's a text based rpg style game where you run around destroying evil things in order to get stronger so you can try to take out the evil Sith Lord Dragon. There's several secrets to uncover, and lots of differnt areas to explore. You can also interact with any other people who are playing the game at that time. It's based off of the Legend of the Green Dragon web game, for those of you who've had the pleasure of playing that one. Rev helped to set it up, and Jitka and Alcander worked really hard on it, so I hope you guys enjoy the game. Check it out if you get the time.
Second, there's a new radio show! Yep, we finally got around to it. This one doesn't really have a topic, so we end up rambling the whole show through. But man.... This is probably the most messed up show we've done yet, and it'll probably crack you up at times, or have you going "huh?? WTF???". Check it out to see what I mean.
And third, the Lifeblood story arc is well underway! We've already got some good writers in it, and it'd developing nicely. so GO! Go READ!! It's fun I tell ya!!
Ok, I've updated. You've been informed. My job here is done.

I feel sorry for anyone who hasn't been checking out Bassdrive recently. They've been playing some kick ass jungle in the past few days. Right now I'm checking out a show called "Belgian Waffles", hosted by Motion Theory. This guy's spinning a kickin' mix.
A few of you guys may have recived an e-mail from me detailing the stuff I plan to do with the story arc I'm planing to drop on you guys. I hope you'll give it a try when it finally shows up... I'm looking foward to some "Stench of the Hutt" level story telling. :) Again, e-mail me if you are interested....
I'm sure you guys know about the radio show troubles that's been going on with it recently. Good news though: we still have the shows in mp3 form, and yeah, they're still streaming. On a more related front, thanks to Rev, we have a dedicated url now! Plus we got a server to link it too, so now I got some work to do, porting over all the stuff I have at Angelfire to our new address. When everything is put together, I'll let you guys know. :) Oh and I've been going nuts working on the CSS code for the new site design... so far it's coming along, if slowly. One of these days I think I'm going to take Rev's advice and start learning how to do things in php....
Tis the news for now. Till later....

(yeah, I know it's been a while since I've updated this... I've been busy :b)
New radio show is up!! New show is up!! I repeat, New show is up!! It's a long show though, and the file is 20 megs (sorry), but still, New Show Is Up!!. Check it out. :b...
Um, that's it. What do you guys want, an update? Um, I'm going to school now (Jit says, "Me too!"). I should be able to work on the new background and stuff, since I can scan pictures at school. I'm increasing my martial skills with new VCDs (check out Plum Publications to find out what I'm talking about) and... uh, maybe one day I'll show you with my new sword. I'm still working on the ending to Lifeblood and the beginning to the mass author project I want to do... I know it's really really late. If it's not up by the end of next week (which is already too long), keep nagging me about it. And feel free to let other story writers know what I'm trying to do. It can't take off if we don't have other writers. Get people from JA if you have to. :b
Oh, yeah, and I'm doing more SCA stuff now (sca.org). Went to our first event yesterday, and I loved it. We brought home a duck (AFLAC!!)... roasted, not live. And supposedly, I might be good at fighting... at least from what one person says. We'll see. (Jit says, "And you're surprised at this... WHY?!?!") Jit may be getting into fighting too... she's undecided, but says it sounds like fun. (Hey, who wouldn't wanna go smack people with sticks?)
Ok, that's it for now. Tell me how you like the show, and keep nagging me to put the story up.

Sheesh... you'd think I'd update these things more often...
To all those going to the wedding (plus gathering), head on over to Jitka's Journal and check out the two wedding threads there. there's important info there that you guys need to know, and that you will have to give. Trust me on this: it will be to your benifit.
Anybody out there interested in checking out some cool chinese martial arts clips? Well then I suggest you go .here. Great little video clips to check out, trust me, especially a few under the "Funky Fresh" heading. The spear/sword and sparring clips alone make visiting this page worth it. Note: the sparring clip is missnamed... it's the second "Straightsword Spear sampler" that he lists. I guess someone aught to tell the webmaster that....
Website stuff still being worked on. Heard that Neighteen and Pinhead are really putting forth a lot of effort for the background and banner. Again, thanks a lot guys. :) Speaking of site stuff, a bit of bad news. I just heard that a lot of my stuff back in Cali is damaged, including my computer... with all my site stuff in it. Hopefully the harddrive can still be saved, but time is running out on me. Somehow, someway, I HAVE to get over there and get my stuff. If anyone has any ideas, or actually has some way they can help, please let me know.
Well that's it. And yes, the new Lifeblood segment is up. You can stop with the death threats now.
Will update later, hopefully in a more timely manner. And yes, past beggings (art, stories) still stand. :b

Wow... to think that it's almost been a year. Gods, does time fly. Almost a year, and we're already considered worth noticing by other Jedi sites. That wouldn't have happened without you guys bringing up and keeping alive intellegent and intersting conversation, as well as us just being our usually silly selves. I think we all deserve a congratulations. :)
Ah, spring. Spring is finally here! Well, supposedly it's here. You'd think spring was in hiding considering that it's still snowing in different parts of this country! When is Nature going to stop playing around and get with the warming up phase? I have sword skills I need working on!
Speaking of which, expect some sabre lessons soon, and not just from me. Ever since Alcander put up that link with the old JA stuff, I'd been planing to incorporate the old html tomes into our site. So far, I've already got the old essays on Darkside matters up. Check out this link here if you're interested. (It's part of the Sith Section of the main site)
Anyways, I plan to later put the old lessons that Jedi Lowell wrote. They are really good, and worth checking out in my opinion. I'd have them up sooner, but I cant seem to find the images he used. I might have to improvise here.
Well... guess that's it for now. Oh yeah, almost forgot, anyone interested in that story I'm doing, Lifeblood, keep your eyes on it, because once it's done, you guys will have your chance to jump in the adventure. I'm really hoping it will be worth your time.
Will update later, as usual. And yes, past beggings (art, stories) still stand. :b

Still a work? Yep....
Well we're back. And it's been great. :) Nothing like a good vacation with friends to energize the body and mind, and melt the stress away.
For now, there's not much to add. though that will change later. You guys should have noticed the new "Quick Reply" feature that Hellflower had added in, as well as moving and spiffying up the "who's here" list. Hope you guys find these things useful... I know I do.
Still looking for people who want to deathmatch valiantly in Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy. I know you guys are out there... Come on. :) Yeah I know I can't play those games yet, but that won't stay that way for long.
Time to split. I got work to get to. Enjoy yourselves. Oh and keep up the really cool discussions I've been noticing popping up. You guys are impressing me, really, especially with the Jedi themed threads. Nothing like intellegent, interesting, and decent discussion. Oh ok, and a little silliness as well. Just don't go overboard, or face the monks of the Holy Hand grenade....

Still a work? Yep....
It is pretty hard to try to do things for the site when you don't have the proper resouceses. We despreatly need a new background, and banner, as well as a new web design for the main site. In order to make said background and banner, I need Photoshop, or some other eqivalent. In order to finalize the new deisgn, I still need Photoshop to make a fwe random images, as well as a decent computer to do all this with. I don't have these things. I really wish I did; things would have gotten done a lot faster.
Still, it doesn't mean nothing has been worked on. Among other things, I've been checking out some fonts to use for the new banner. Gods, there are a lot of crap fonts out there. There are a several intersting ones too, as well as some nice once, but it's hard finding something that fits us. Still, I found a couple. Hopefully I chose right. Also, I found a really good resorce page for css (style sheets) coding. that's sweet, because now I can finally get started on the bare bones "skeleton" building of the page design. If my plan works right, then once I'm done with the rough work of designing, updating thngs later on will be a snap. :)
Ok, now to fun things. How many gamers do we have around here? The reason I'd like to know is that the old gaming bug has hit me again, and my old dreams of having an online crew to play Jedi Oucast and Jedi Academy with have come back. My finances, while still crap, now have a chance to grow, and me and Jit are already looking at new machines, and different avenues to go about them. Once we got all that settled, I'm nabbing these games, and once I do, it's fragging time. I'm hoping that some of you guys will join me. :)
Well, that's abut it for now. Small anoucements huh? Still, before I go, I fell I should this little tib bit. I've been noticing a bit of grumpiness going around, and while it's not everybody, it does concern me. Especialy since some people have told me that it was keeping them from the site. That's not right.
Ultimately, we made this place for us to have fun. It was supposed to be our place away from all the griping, remember? So there's no reason to have it bubbling up around here. So before you think that the post you just read is from someone who is trying to tear you down and hurt your little ego, slow down, take a deep breath. We're supposed to be on a higher path than most, remember that. Plus, dont be afaid to lossen up, and have fun.
By the way, past beggings (art, stories) still stand. :b

Well, it's the First of March. That means spring is almost here (yay!). It also means it's time to pay the landlord. Life has it's constants....
you guys check out? CheapassGames.com. yet? Just interested in knowing if you guys have the same quirky tastes in games that me and Jit have. Speaking of games, we have a heated war going on in Advanced Wars. I've been messing with this little Game Boy Advance cartridge for a while now, and let me tell you, I've never played against such an aggressive and cunning opponent before. Just makes victory that much sweeter. :)
Still on the gaming tip, just got me another little addiction. Ever heard of Frequency? It's gotta be one of the coolest rhythm games ever made. Forget DDR: this is the game that will test your skills. Try pressing 3 differnt buttons in complex patterns to beats that are going around 145 bpm's and you'll see what I mean. Still, once you get the hang of it, It's a lot of fun. Plus, you tend to be in this "Jedi mind", Zen-like zone when you are really doing well. You should be able to pick this thing up cheap for you rPS2 for at the most, 20 bucks, if that.
Ok, Jedi related news. I'm sure you guys notice the new link on the sidebar. The Order as this message baord is called, is a rather well put together little webspot. We already have a few members here enjoying what they saw so far, hence the linkage. The admin there also linked to us, so much thanks to him.
Just checked out TheForce.net, and it seems that according to Sam L Jack, Ep3 is not just going to be the darkest of the Star Wars films (we pretty much saw that as a given), but the bloodiest and the most adult. Well, that sounds promising. I just hope it'll all add up to mean "great movie"... and that it being "bloody" won't cause it to garner a new source of critisism... that from squemish moralists.
Still working on Nick's drawing. I really hope he likes the finished result. And I really hope I'll be able to scan it.
Still planing to bring back the radio show. Just need the hardware for it. Gods I miss my computer....
Still willing to accept art from anyone who want's to hit me with some.
And that ends this news edition. Me go to sleep now. Catch you guys later. :)

Gods, but I love BassDrive.com. Yes, I'm talking about how great they are once again. Right now, (4:32 pm, CST) Dj XO is kicking @$$ on the net air waves. Good good good music... nothing like good old frantic, complex rythmic drumbeats. :)
Any of you guys ever heard of this place? Cheapass Games.com. I've been itching to try out one of their game sfo ryears, and last night, I finally had a chance. Me and Jit had another date night, and while parusing through a comic shop (hey, we LIKE comics), we picked up a game called Kill Doctor Lucky, one that I've been very curious about for a while. Great great little game, and cheap to boot! We're planing to pick up a few more of their games, and I think you guys should too. Check em out: they're great, quirky games that are very afordable, and they even have some free ones to snag there. :)
Work is coming along fine. They're gicing me some ok hours. It ain't full time, but it will pay the bills. and right now that's all we want. Well that and pay for the wedding... speaking of the wedding, hopefully whoever wanted to be there should have gotten their Save The Date cards by now. Invites will be arriving soon. :)
I really wish I had a scanner. Nick, you have no idea how much work I'm putting into your drawing. I got at least 4 different mini versions so far, and I've been checking out different sources for inspiration, from Blade of the Immortal, to Trigun. I think I finally nailed a good pose for you... now all I have to do is finish desining the coat (kind a cross between Aragorn and a military long coat), and the pistol I have you aiming. I think I'm going to scann the concepts as well as the finish product when I finally get to a scanner.
On the Star Wars front, it seems that there's at least one person out there who's a bit upset that the DVD original trilogy coming out this fall is going to be the Special Edition Versions, not the originals. This article was linked at the Force.net, and it was originally written in the Corvallis Gazette Times. Check it out, and feel free to post up what you think.
So far, I haven't heard much about the supposed "Bush Incident" that supposedly happened at NASCAR. I was really hoping for some dirt on this. Ah well... I won't give up on my spies just yet....
And I'm STILL waiting for art. What's up with you people?? I KNOW we have some great artists around here. Don't be shy. Don't you want to showcase your stuff?
I guess tha's it. I got much work to do, the story segs and the main site just part of it. Catch you on the boards, on MSN, or in the next update.
And any past, present or future troublemakers: Ph33r the Hall of Shame....
Happy Hi Hi's and blessings to everyone special to us. You know who you are. :)

DSL!!! DSL!!! We finally got the DSL working! Sheesh, after having to pay for it, we'd better be using it! Big Big Thanks to Rev, for without his assistance, our DSL usage would not have come to frutation this early.
On the job front: Work is hard. Its' fun, but it's tiring and hard. they really work your butt off in that little doughnut shop. Still, it's worth it. And it isn't like I haven't busted my butt before doing work for pay.
Nick's drawing is still being done, amoung other little scratches. I'd really like to get more main site stuff working. Looking at those old pages the way they are is really beginning to get to me. Oh well, all things in due time....
I'm sure you guys all know about the Original Star Wars Trilogy coming out on DVD this Fall. Great. Haven't I spent enough money on the franchise already? Don't get me wrong; I've been waiting for this to happen for a long time. Still, how many copies of the movies do they expect us to buy??? I own both versions of the original trilogy (first and special editions) on vhs box sets, I have The Phantom Menace on VHS (planing on gettting the DVD sooner or later), and The Clone Wars on DVD. Now they pull this. And you know what's going to happen next. When Ep3 comes out, there's gonna be a DVD for that. Then they're going to come out with the Prequel Trilogy boxed sets, THEN they're going to have a special "Full Saga" boxes set made. And each version will have "all new content and footage". And like idiots we;re going to fall for it and buy all of them, especially the people who own just about every single last peice of earth matter that has Star Wars written on it. *sigh* No wonder there are a lot of broke Star Wars fans out there. Sooner or later, somebody is going to have to have mercy on them.
Oh, just in... I just heard a rumor that today during the Daytona 500 down in Florida, Bush had squeezed out a little girl with terminal cancer who was supposed to say "gentlemen, start your engines" as one of those dying wishes for miracle network. So basically, he took her spot. don't know if this is true or not: I've been lookin gall over the net so far, but I can't find anything... but I trust my source, and he tells me there were a lot of angry Florida residents afterwards. I'm sure you guys can guess that I'd love to find out if this is true. If there is anyone on this site who's heard of this, and/or can give me some proof of it, PLEASE let me know. Hey Jesse Li, this means you!. I remember that you live down there. Please tell me if you've heard anything about this. I need more data for my "Idiot Files".
Still would like art peices from any of you artists out there. If you have some talent that you want to be shown, don't be shy. :) Send send away.
Tis it for now. However before I split, I just want to show you guys this link from the comic Oh My Gods!. It's pretty hilarious, but there's one particular strip that I just had to link to here. I call it "Artemia's Computer woes".
Enjoy. And yes, Art, I'm just teasing. :b
By the way guys, I wasn't kidding about the Hall of Shame. It is going to be a reality. Not only is it way past it's time, but it will be a public service for all the other message boards out there....
Happy Hi Hi's and blessings to everyone special to us. You know who you are. :)

UPDATE: Did a little site tweaking, main site tweaking that is. You might notice that most of the news on the the front page is gone (what's the point of having news there if I put it on here?), and there is a nice little drawing gracing the page. Just thought I'd shake things up a little. Ok, so it's an "old" update, but still, I thought it was worth keeping up for a little longer.
