Major Battles and Events

The Earth may have been liberated from the control of Sith lords, but that didn't mean that they were no longer a threat. Angered by their defeat, the remaining human Sith requested a meeting with their dark alien peers. The aliens were still bitter about the betrayal they suffered earlier, and were prepared to deal with the humans harshly, But the Sith weren't there to battle with them. They argued that the real enemy to fight were the Jedi, and that they wre responsible for the loss of the Earth. Siteing the long history the dark galactic warriors had with the protector rivals, they reminded them that they would always be there to ruin their plans, and that if they were to keep any control they had in the galaxy, they would have to strike back at the Jedi and their alien masters as hard as they could, bringing them to their knees. There was a state of war between them anyway; they might as well finish things their way.

Seeing that their human counterparts had a point, the alien Dark warriors grudgingly decided to set aside their differences and join up with them. They were pretty much in a state of war anyway, and the more that would help in their cause, the better.

On the other side, the Earth Jedi and their alien counterparts had a feeling that this would happen. The dark warriors weren't the type to give up easily, and the conflicts between the two fractions had been increacing steadily in intergalactic affairs. The more benevolent protectors did not condone the tyranic practices that their darker counterparts used over various systems across the galaxies, and constant debates and arguments, even a few violent confrontations, had arisen between the two groups over such things. It was inevitable that it would all come to an all out war.

And so the Great Jedi War began in earnest. Instead of taking place upon one small planet, it would now be waged across various star systems. The Elders, as well as the Earth Jedi which sprung from them, were determined to free the galaxy from the dark grip of tyranic oppression and misrule, so that none would suffer the fate that Earth had. The dark warriors were just as adamant in keeping their territory. As both sides were very powerfull, the battles were incredibly harsh, and casualties were enormous, made up of many different species.

Throughout the war, the humans from Earth seemed to have fought with the most passion. After the all the suffering they went through on their planet, they had vowed that it would never happen again, either on their home planet, or anywhere else. In the fiercest battles, it was a certianty that they would be there, whether they were Force sensitive or not. Many baseline humans were strong combatants in their own right, whether they were welding a blaster, or piloting fighter craft. It would be tough, dedicated beings such as these that would later found the planet Corellia, named after the one Lucas had made up for his tales.

The Earth Jedi were the most noticable of the those beings however. Not only did they hold true to their calling, but their powers were growing to amazing levels, a few even rivaling that of the Elders themselves. Earth Jedi would soon determine the outcome of many battles, and would be a factor in many victories and changes through the many years of war. It would be Earth Jedi that would free the planet Zazuen from a powerfull Darkside warror king and rename it Alderaan, yet another planet from the beloved Star Wars saga. It would be Earth Jedi that would face the dread empire of Dzin Kar'zazi and bring it low. And it would be the Earth Jedi who would prove to be one of the biggest infulences in the reshaping of the galaxy.

Keep in mind that until the wars, the term "Jedi" was not used for the Force using galactic protectors. At the onset of the conflict, the term was used to denote the Earth humans who became part of this order. But later on, because of the constant exposure that the various beings of the galaxy had to them, the label of "Jedi" soon began to be used for all the protectors. There was also a resurgence of people's interest in the old ways of the Force, and with the help of the Jedi, other systems were starting to have their own Jedi traditions come forth, some being reborn from ages past.

Despite these advantages that the Jedi were having, their enimies had their own strengths and boons on their side. The Human Sith Lords proved to be just as cunning as their old masters, and just as powerfull as their Jedi enimies. They were soon holding on to territory of their own, usually through the conquest of an unprotected or weak system, or through the death of a former dark ruler during a battle against the Jedi. These human owned systems proved to be crucial strategic strongpoints for the Dark forces during the war.

Another advantage that the Sith had ("Sith" was becoming a universal term for the manevolent forces, "Jedi" was being used for their enemies) was the finding of an old abandoned temple stationed upon an old moon in a lost star system. It was found to be an old center for warriors skilled in the more aggressive and darker secrets of Force usage. The human Sith quickly claimed the place as their own, and meticulously translated and studied the ancient tomes hidden there. They also began researching and writing their own theories and techniques, also storing them within the temples archives. Over time, the place came to be known as the Temple of Hidden Shadows, and it was highly sought after by other Sith throughout the years of the War. Few Darksiders ever found it; even fewer were allowed access. The Jedi also sought it out, in order to cut off access to the, or to destroy it, but they searched in vain.

More and more Darkside warriors, now more powerful in the Force than those before them, began to make themselves known in the galaxy. They also were forming their own clans, similar to what the the Jedi were doing. Many strong warriors from these clans were making a name for themselves, as well as their clans. Certain clans and Sith warriors became more infamous than others, usually for great and at times horrendous deeds in battle.

The constant fighting between the Jedi, Sith, and their allies had huge consequences upon the galaxy. Many planetary systems were ravaged, and there were large casualties on both sides. However, slowly but surely, the tide began to turn. As the long years dragged on, the darkside warriors were losing their strength, and being driven further out towards the edges of the galaxy. Warlords were losing their territories and empiers, usually along with their lives. The Sith war machine was losing it's steam. The Jedi were becoming too strong for them, and too many of the more powerfull Sith were being killed off.

It got to the point, when most of the Sith had to rally under the banner of one mighty Sith Lord in order to survive and stand a chance to win this war. That Sith Lord's name was Sanush, an overly powerful warrior in the Force, who used his mastery of destructive powers and techniques to keep vast armies of Jedi at bay, killing off scores of celebrated Jedi knights and masters, as well as win the loyalty and devotion of many other Sith lord who soon rushed to his side. He and his warriors were soon considered to be the main Force keeping the Jedi from winning the war, as well as their last chance at defeating them once and for all.

The Jedi themselves knew that if they could only defeat Sanush and his Forces, then the Sith would be crushed, and the long war would finally be over. For the first in a long time, they saw a chance to end the bitter conflict. The problem was actually acomplishing it. Sanush and his forces were considered to be next to invincible, and that was before most of the other Sith Lords rallied under his banner.

Despite the odds, the Jedi knew that sooner or later, they would have no choice but to face him... and that the results would decide the fate of the galaxy....
