Bio: Ezra Kye Poh is one of the most experienced Jedi Masters to ever grace the halls of the Jedi Academy. Kind, wise, and witty, she is regarded by many as possessing the ideal Jedi mindset, composure, and posture, and is as steely and unbreakable in combat as she is warm hearted and motherly in the company of friends. Anyone who knows her well knows that this small, slender woman is a powerful Jedi, and is not to be trifled with.
The eldest of 5 Jedi sisters, Ezra Kye comes from a long line of Jedi Knights. Her family, the Pohs, have traditionally been a strong Jedi clan, defending their home planet of Caldoon for centuries. Interestingly enough, only the females of the clan were ever trained to be Jedi, as they were the only ones born with the gift of Force sensitivity. Jemithy Poh, herself a great Jedi knight, bore the current generation of Poh Jedi: Ezra Kye, the kind, muse-like teacher, Tyra Poh, the blind, clairvoyant and sensitive Jedi sister, the telepathic twins, Mya and Mah-tah, and the wild and passionate Padaway. There were also three sons; however, as par for the course, they couldn't be trained as Jedi. They did become valiant and formidible warriors in their own right.
Ezra Kye was fully trained and brought to the level of Knighthood by her mother. Unfortunately, Jemithy died before she was able to do the same for her other daughters. Therefore, Ezra Kye took it upon herself to complete their training. Under her masterful eye, each brough out the special talents within themselves, and she helped bring them to full bloom. They learned their lessons well, although the youngest, Padaway, still strugles to maintain the tranquil and calm Jedi mind. Known as the Wild One, she still has not completed her training, but left her eldest sisters' tutalage to forge her path on her own.
The Poh Clan has an affiliation with an order of Jedi Knights known as the Secret Valkyrie Sisterhood. A powerful group, they are known and highly respected throughout the galaxy. On Caldoon, the Order helped with the Poh daughters' basic lessons as children, and when old enough, the Poh Mother would usually complete the training, and open to her Jedi child the Poh family Jedi secrets.
The 5 sisters were as one at first, but after the twins had married, they began to walk their paths seperately, though they are still very close knit, and keep in touch with each other. Ezra Kye decided to join the Valkyrie Sisterhood as a full member, and in a (Earth) year's time, became one of their most celebrated members. Her Jedi skills were considered extraordinary by the others, and soon many were talking about her becoming the next leader of the order. But Ezra Kye refused that path, feeling that her life lay not in leading her Jedi peers into battle after battle, but in teaching others the Jedi way. She soon left the Sisterhood, but the other members still consider her a valued Jedi sister, and call upon her from time to time.
Later on, her travels would bring her to the celebrated Jedi Academy on Earth. She was well recived by the Jedi there, and appreciated for her unique way of teaching the Jedi discipline. She was later offered a position as a formal faculty member, which she acepted wholeheartedly. Because of her talents, she was soon given a special class of children to instruct in her unique style of Jedi arts. They would be called the Poh Children.
Many people there got to know her as a wise, peaceful Jedi master with a love for the musical arts, though those who were closer to her got to see her wilder, wittier side as well. She made some dear friends at the Academy, two of them Hellflower, and Sah'ar Suntoucher.
However, those happy times wouldn't last. Despite the love and acceptance that most of the other Jedi had for her, there were some who didn't see eye to eye with her views and methods. One of them was a Jedi master named Daean Kett. A fellow Faculty member, his views sometimes conflicted with hers, and this would bring them to debate on many things. There was also trouble among the Poh children. One of her most gifted students, a child named Roo, would later be forcefully kidnapped by her mother, a Sith Maiden who was separated from her daugher by Jedi from the Valkyrie Jedi because of her unstable personality, as well as her vicious nature and her desire to turn the child into her weapon of destruction. This was a heavy blow for Ezra Kye to bear. As she was severely wounded during the struggle to reclaim Roo, it took her some time to recover, both emotionally and physically.
A major enemy of the Pohs soon surfaced at this time, one that Ezra Kye knew well and had a dramatic history with. When her sisters notified her of this new threat, she immediately prepared herself to deal with it. However, Deean Kett saw this as neglecting her duties as a JA faculty member. That was the last straw for the elder Poh sister: after saying farewell to her beloved friends at the institution, she went off to her fateful battle and left JA without looking back. The Poh children were devastated, and even though the program was ended (after all, only Ezra Kye could have ran the class effectively), they followed after her, and soon found her on Caldoon, where she has continued teaching them. They have flourished well under her tutalage, and Alora Yume has become her most promising apprentice. Another one of her close apprentices, Avi Von, is reckless and headstrong, but shows great promise.
Ezra Kye is still revered to this day by many of the members of the Jedi Academy. She is also thought of fondly by her close friends, and is visited by them from time to time, especially by Sah'ar, who shares a sacred bond with her. She continues to live peacefully on her native Caldoon, teaching younglings the ways of the Force and furthering her own knowledge. She also continues to search for her lost padawan, in the hopes that she could rescue her from the influences of her insane mother before it is too late. But it is inevitable that her blue bladed lightsabre will flash once again against some new threat, and she will once again prove to her foes that, although she looks frail and harmless, she has a warrior's heart.
